Advanced Health Assessment Practicum

Three semester hours.

This course focuses on a systems approach to health issues that present in the primary care setting with emphasis on assessment, screening, physical exam and differential diagnosis. Students will concentrate on history taking, physical examination, diagnostic reasoning and assessment. Clinical experiences will enable students to develop clinical reasoning skills that are necessary to perform comprehensive physical examination and develop a differential and final diagnosis in the primary care setting. 135 hours of practicum is required. Corequisite: NURS 5330.
