NURS 5333

Primary Care of Adults, Geriatrics, and Families Practicum

Three semester hours.

This clinical practicum course prepares the NP student to assess, diagnose, monitor, treat and coordinate care of adult individuals and their families who present with common acute, episodic, and chronic conditions in the primary care setting. Population based health disparities and their impact on the health of the individual and their family will be explored. There is 135 hours of practicum required. Prerequisites: NURS 5230 and NURS 5232. Pre or Corequisites: NURS 5231 and NURS 5233. Corequisite: NURS 5332.
