Faculty Professional Development Award

The PROF Center Faculty Professional Development Award provides direct financial support to help faculty pursue professional development opportunities that matter to them whether you want to strengthen a current skill or develop new ones within teaching, research, or leadership.

This award recognizes that professional growth is a journey. Whether you're building on existing strengths or addressing skill gaps, the PROF Center is here to support your commitment to continuous improvement.

For this award, the PROF Center has 3 purposes:

  • Support each faculty's professional growth to improve teaching effectiveness, deepen research expertise, or build leadership skills.
  • It aims to remove financial barriers that prevent you from growing professionally.
  • Encourage a stronger TAMIU faculty collectively by investing in faculty who are motivated in improving themselves.
