Learning Support Specialists (LSS) provide academic support to students who are not yet considered college-ready. The LSS team is divided into two primary areas: Math and English. Math Learning Support Specialists assist students in College Algebra, Business Math I, Math for Liberal Arts I, and Introductory Statistics. English Learning Support Specialists provide support for English, Language Arts, and Reading coursework aligned with English Composition I learning outcomes. The goal of the LSS program is to help students achieve college readiness through individualized weekly support sessions designed to strengthen skills and improve performance in credit-bearing courses. LS Specialists also provide a variety of workshops to support content areas.
