Supplemental Instruction

The Supplemental Instruction (S.I.) program is designed to support students in traditionally challenging academic courses. It provides in-class support, as well as regularly scheduled, out-of-class sessions. S.I. sessions are open to all students in the supported course section and are usually attended on a voluntary basis.

S.I. Leaders—students who have previously excelled in the course— attend all class meetings, take notes, read assigned material, and facilitate 50-55 minute sessions each week.

Professors: Please email academicsupport@tamiu.edu to check for S.I. availability.
