Graduate Student Orientation was initiated to assist newly enrolled TAMIU students learn about the different resources on campus. Attending this orientation will not only make them aware of the resources and tools available to them, but it also acts as a catalyst for them to begin planning their academic success in the various fields. Together with the Graduate School, TAMIU ARC aims at providing assistance to ensure our graduate students go beyond and successfully complete their degree.

Orientation will be held twice a year, before the start of the Fall and Spring semester. There will also be online options for those not able to attend locally. TAMIU departments such as Financial Aid, Library Services and Counseling & Wellness present how to best use their services. Orientation ends with a Q&A session with the Graduate School staff, thus making it the perfect time to eliminate any confusion or uncertainty.
