We can all save lives with QPR

The office of Student Counseling Staff are proud certified QPR instructors who are excitedly bringing this training to our students, faculty, and staff.
The QPR mission is to reduce suicidal behaviors and save lives by providing innovative, practical and proven suicide prevention training.
QPR is a 2 hour in person training where attendees will be provided with knowledge that will help them recognize someone who is at risk for suicide, intervene with those at risk, and refer to the appropriate resources.

Online Gatekeeper Trainings
We can all save lives with AS+K?

The AS+K? basic community helper training 2025 online course provides participants with an overview of the basic epidemiology of suicide and suicidal behavior, including high risk and protective factors. Participants also learn to recognize warning signs and how to intervene with a person they think might be at risk for suicide.
AS+K? is a 1 hours self led online course that is always accessible. The training can be completed at no cost. To access the training please click below and follow the steps to create an account.
We can all save lives with C.A.R.E.S

The C.A.R.E.S training teaches students, faculty, staff, administrators, and parents practical skills to recognize signs of distress and suicide risk, respond with clarity and compassion, and connect individuals to appropriate campus and community resources.
The C.A.R.E.S training includes five short, self-paced online modules that take about 55 minutes total. The training is free, and you’ll receive a certificate when you finish. It also comes with an Implementation Toolkit and a customizable campus resource sheet to help support use on your campus.
