The Office of Global and Community Engagement (GCE) at TAMIU, inspires inspire global thinking and local impact by championing comprehensive internationalization policies, programs, partnerships, and initiatives.
The American Council on Education (ACE) defines comprehensive internationalization as a strategic, coordinated framework that integrates policies, programs, initiatives, and people to make colleges and universities more globally oriented and internationally connected.
At Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), comprehensive internationalization is both a philosophy and a practice—a living framework that links our teaching, research, and engagement missions to the wider world. It is not a one-time achievement but an ongoing process of learning, reflection, and renewal that fosters sustainable, globally engaged practices and an organizational growth mindset.
