Office of Global and Community Engagement

One of the three core initiatives of the Office of Global and Community Engagement focuses on Engagement, encompassing both global and community initiatives.  We build reciprocal partnerships locally and globally, focusing on talent & workforce, innovation/entrepreneurship, and place-based development.

We also host the World Affairs Council – Laredo, a catalyst for engaging our community in global affairs that shape Laredo’s economy, culture, and quality of life.  Guided by the 5 Ps—People, Planet, Prosperity, Public Safety, and Partnership—we co-create solutions through MOUs, virtual exchanges, research collaborations, binational learning, and cross-sector alliances.
