The Office of Research and Sponsored Projects (ORSP) at TAMIU is proud to offer a year-long (2023) Grants Queue with Partnership with Hanover Research. The grant queue will support the development and submission of a minimum of 15 externally funded grants this year.

The grant queue will be managed by Dr. Tobin and will involve the following components:

(1) Check-in with Hanover grants consultants for an initial scoping call to determine how Hanover can best serve the PI’s needs.
(2) Timely submission of grant materials to Hanover by the PI.
(3) Follow-up conversation(s) after results of Hanover work has been delivered.

ORSP would like to also acknowledge and thank the TAMIU Advancing Research and Curriculum Initiative (TAMIU ARC) awarded by the US Department of Education Developing Hispanic-Serving Institutions Program (Award # P031S190304) and the TAMIU Center for Earth and Environmental Studies (CEES). Significant financial support from TAMIU ARC and CEES has made the 2023 Grants Queue possible.

Last fall the Office of Research and Sponsored Projects (ORSP) at TAMIU launched its first Council of PI’s meeting where a dozen PI’s gathered virtually.

This is a forum where grant PI’s can share best practices from their grants that might help other PI’s.
In addition, any systematic issues that are impeding grant performance are discussed in a constructive manner.
Finally, PI’s will have a chance to share success stories from their grants that are worthy of press releases and sharing on the ORSP website.

NEXT MEETING: We are planning a Council of PI's meeting either on the week of September 25 or October 2.
More details will be forthcoming.
