Staff Recognition Program

This program aims to honor four outstanding staff members annually, with two awardees from each semester – one exempt and one non-exempt.

Eligible individuals must be current employees with at least one year of service, excluding previous awardees within the last five years.

Award winners will receive not only the recognition they deserve but also a $100 prize and a personalized plaque commemorating their achievements. This program is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on the hardworking individuals who make TAMIU thrive.

By participating in the TAMIU Staff Senate Employee Recognition Program, you contribute to building a positive and appreciative workplace culture. Let’s come together to celebrate the outstanding efforts of our staff members, who go above and beyond to make TAMIU a great place to work!

Note: This program does not replace the Employee of the Year award, and instead supplements it by providing additional means of staff recognition throughout the year.

Application Guidelines:

  • No self-nominations are allowed.
  • Applicants must be current employees with at least one year of service.
  • Previous awardees are ineligible if recognized within the last five years.

Check the program timeline for each semester.

Spring Fall Process
February October Nomination period: open day 1, close day 31*
March November Nominations reviewed by Staff Senate Board
April December Awardees Recognized.
