Spring '22 Recipient

Jose M. Bernal Brosig

“First of all, I want to thank TAMIU Staff Senate for bringing me this scholarship and allowing me to continue with my education. Pursuing a master’s degree is something that my mother and sister have wanted for me to achieve, and now that I have the opportunity and assistance, it is a goal that I want to reach for them. I am currently pursuing a Master in Public Administration, and I desire to help others in as many ways as possible by contributing with ideas, projects, skills, and knowledge that I have been gathering since I started my MPA degree. This scholarship is another step that brings me closer to success and my personal goals, and I thank TAMIU’s community for this opportunity.”

Fall '21 Recipient

Leonela Preciado

"One of my biggest goals is to give back as often and as best as possible. Being part of Staff Senate has given me the opportunity to give back to our TAMIU students and the community through the various activities and events they hold. Allowing myself the opportunity to strive toward an MBA degree is another way for me to enrich myself academically and be able to give to my university. Receiving the Staff Senate Scholarship reassured me that I was making the right decision, and I am excited to continue on this path."
