Within one year of admission, you will be responsible for creating your advisory committee. You should do this after meeting the MPA faculty and decide the members of your committee. The advisory committee consisting of three MPA faculty members, guides students through the culminating portion of the program and provides support as they prepare for the comprehensive examination. In some cases, depending on your career goals, you may prefer to have one faculty member from another program serve on your advisory committee. You may change the membership of your committee to better serve your educational pursuits with the approval of the MPA Director. You must meet with a member of your advisory committee each semester or at least once a year for consultation regarding courses and review your academic progress.
