Advisory Committee

MPA Students

Within one year of admission, you will be responsible for creating your advisory committee. You should do this after consulting with the MPA Director and other faculty. The advisory committee consists of three MPA faculty members responsible for guiding students through the culminating portion of the program and providing support as they prepare for the comprehensive examination. In some cases, depending on the student's career goals, it may be necessary to have one faculty member from another program to serve on the advisory committee. You may change the membership of your committee to better serve your academic and professional needs with the approval of the MPA Director. You must meet with a member of your advisory committee once a major semester for consultation regarding academic progress.
