International Executive Seminar for Professors of the Universidad Autonoma deTamaulipas

We're thrilled to have hosted a group of esteemed professors from the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas (UAT) for an international executive seminar. Dr. Ricardo Lozano enlightened us with his insights on adaptive leadership in changing contexts, while Dr. Sergio Garza shared practical teaching strategies that can be applied in the classroom right away.

It was an incredible day of learning, collaboration, and building binational ties with our UAT colleagues. We're grateful for the opportunity to connect with like-minded educators and look forward to future collaborations!

An Afternoon of Poetry

The Office of Global Initiatives welcomed the incredible Raquel Valle Sentíes, Laredo Poet Laureate, for an intimate afternoon of poetry and reflection. Raquel shared with us the Third Edition of her powerful book “Soy como soy y qué”, capturing hearts with her words, presence, and passion.

The audience was deeply engaged — not just listening, but connecting. Many shared moving stories about how Raquel’s poems have touched their lives, revealing the deep personal ties between the author and her readers. It was a celebration of identity, resilience, and the enduring power of poetry to unite and inspire.

Thank you, Raquel, for your voice — and to everyone who joined us in this unforgettable gathering.
