After you have been accepted into the Honors Program, you may reach out to the department program representative to inquire who is your faculty mentor.
Juniors and Seniors who have been at TAMIU may continue with their original honors pathway.

Yes, any junior who requires special consideration and has already secured an honors faculty mentor can submit an appeal. The appeal will be reviewed by the honors committee.
All members are required to complete 30 community engagement hours within the academic year.
Yes, however, the event will need to be approved by your honors faculty mentor prior to any participation.
Students who graduate with the honors program will automatically be accepted into TAMIU Graduate School (not any other institutions). The only exceptions are those in MACP (Counseling Psychology) and FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner Program).
