BSPH Program Learning Outcomes (PLO's)
Upon completion of the Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH), students will be able to:
- Explain the foundations, history, and organization of public health systems and the profession.
- Apply interdisciplinary knowledge from the sciences, social sciences, and humanities to understand and address population health issues.
- Use critical thinking, problem-solving, and basic research methods to identify and analyze public health challenges in diverse settings.
- Demonstrate responsibility and ethical awareness in promoting health, advocating for populations, and collaborating with communities and organizations.
- Communicate effectively using oral, written, and digital formats to inform, educate, and influence diverse audiences and stakeholders.
- Apply foundational epidemiological principles to understand patterns of disease, prevention strategies, and health outcomes in populations.
- Demonstrate systems thinking and foundational leadership skills in analyzing how organizations, policies, and environments impact public health.
