National Hazing Prevention Week

National Hazing Prevention Week (NHPW) is an opportunity for TAMIU sororities, fraternities, societies and student organizations to raise awareness about the problem of hazing, education others about hazing, and promote the prevention of hazing. HazingPrevention.Org™ is the organizer of National Hazing Prevention Week (NHPW) nation-wide.

At TAMIU, the Greek Council hosts programming events to build awareness related to hazing and its effects on college students. According to HazingPrevention.Org™ “the ultimate goal is to prevent hazing. Strong education efforts, diligent policy development and reinforcement, and comprehensive planning and ongoing community efforts can do just that.” TAMIU Dustdevils are committed towards having a hazing-free educational experience.
